5 things to do in Salzburg, Austria.

5 things to do in Salzalsburg, Austria.

The Alps in Salzburg represented an impressive mountain fortress surrounding this Austrian city. These beautiful mountains offer excellent opportunities for hiking and mountain walks, as well as winter sports. Salzburg is located in the heart of the Alps, providing a unique chance to enjoy magnificent landscapes and fre mountain air. One of the well-known landmarks in this country is the Grossglockner-Hochalpenstrasse National Park, where you can encounter diverse fauna and appreciate stunning winter months.

This week I visited Zalsburg, Austria and decided to share with you some hacks and places to visit.

Salzburg is a picturesque city in Austria, known for its baroque architecture and being the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city is surrounded by stunning Alpine landscapes.

And if you want to be sure you visit all the sightseeing I recommend to use this service to rent a car.

  • First thing you have to visit Hohensalzburg Fortress. It's a medieval fortress in Salzburg, Austria, perched atop the Festungsberg hill. Built in the 11th century, it's one of the largest fully preserved castles in Europe. The fortress offers panoramic views of the city and the Alps, and it houses museums and a regal interior, reflecting its historical significance.

  • Then don't miss the opportunity to come to the exhibition to Red Bull Hangar-7. It's a multifunctional building owned by Red Bull, located at Salzburg Airport. Hangar-7 houses a collection of historical aircraft, helicopters, and Formula One racing cars. It also features restaurants, bars, and a unique art collection. The venue is often used for events and exhibitions, showcasing the intersection of aviation, motorsports, and contemporary art.

  • Walk along Salzburg's Market Street, or "Getreidegasse," is a charming and historic shopping street in the Old Town. Known for its narrow lanes, medieval architecture, and iron signs, it's a noisy area with a variety of shops, cafes, and boutiques. Mozart's birthplace is also located on this street, adding to its cultural significance. The vibrant atmosphere and unique character make it a popular destination.

  • Catch the funicular to Untersberg mountain for stunning views, efficient transport, accessibility, hiking opportunities, and a unique experience, making your visit to this scenic Salzburg attraction convenient and memorable. Check my reel on Instagram.

  • And if you want to continue your trip, don't forget to drink tea or coffee in Germany. It's so close to Zalsburg. On your way you will see a lot of stunning places, crystal clear river and huge mountains.

And after all of this travel adventures check out for cozy local hotel in this awesome town.
