Mallorca, Alcudia Beach. Day 2

On the second day I decided to go to another part of the island. My plan was to visit beaches, so the first one was Alcudia. It's surrounded by mountains, so they protect this place from big waves, that's why it's the best beach when you come to rest with little kids.

And to my suprise I found a light pink sand on this beach. It's fantastic!!! Your kids and you'll be happy!

Alcudia is a charming town located on the northeast coast of Mallorca, Spain. Its historic center is surrounded by well-preserved medieval walls dating back to the 14th century. The town offers a blend of rich history and modern amenities.

Key highlights in Alcudia include:

  1. Old Town: Wander through the narrow, cobbled streets of the Old Town, where you'll find picturesque squares, historic buildings, and local shops. The architecture reflects its Moorish and Roman past.

  2. Roman Ruins: Alcudia boasts impressive Roman ruins, including a well-preserved amphitheater. These archaeological sites offer a glimpse into the town's ancient history.

  3. Port d'Alcudia: The nearby port area, Port d'Alcudia, is a bustling resort with a beautiful beach. It's a popular destination for water sports, and the marina is lined with restaurants and shops.

  4. Market: Alcudia hosts a vibrant market on Tuesdays and Sundays. Visitors can explore stalls selling local produce, crafts, and souvenirs.

  5. Beaches: Enjoy the sandy beaches surrounding Alcudia, known for their clear waters and family-friendly atmosphere. Playa de Alcudia is particularly famous and offers various water activities.

  6. Natural Beauty: Explore the natural beauty of the area, including the nearby S'Albufera Natural Park, a wetland area that's home to diverse bird species.

Whether you're interested in history, relaxing on the beach, or exploring nature, Alcudia has something to offer for a memorable visit.
